The Queen’s Beasts coin series commemorates the coronation day of Queen Elizabeth II. When she entered Westminster Abbey back in 1953 for her coronation, the path was lined with ten beasts representing members of her royal lineage. The White Horse of Hanover connects Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II to Georg Ludwig from Hanover, Germany. Later, he was known as George (Louis) I and was the first Hanoverian ruler for the British monarchy. The official Coat of Arms of Hanover was brought along for this journey. It was originally a white horse against a red background, known in Germany as the "Sachsenross". This symbol later added the shield-bearing quadrants that represented the unity of the royal bloodlines. The quadrants carry the three lions of England, the lion of Scotland, the fleur-de-lis of France, the Irish harp, and the Arms for Hanover. After George I, there were six more Hanoverian rulers from his line who ruled "Great Britain and Ireland", then "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland."

The obverse showcases the profile of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by engraver Jody Clark. The Queen wears her royal crown and jewels as she faces to the left. The background displays a chainmail texture- a signature of the series.

The reverse, also designed by Jody Clark, features the White Horse of Hanover rearing back on its hind legs while bearing a shield. The shield shows the leopards of England and the lion of Scotland in one quarter, the fleur-de-lis of France in the second, and the Irish harp appears in the third quarter. The last quarter displays the Arms of Hanover. The background also presents a chainmail pattern.
