The obverse of the coin embodies the attitude of a Bear Market. An imposing bear growls on the left side of the coin. Various symbols related to factors affecting market volatility appear in the background. The impact of the past year’s health crisis is represented by the virus ball in the bottom right and the face mask near the center. The viral outbreak is believed to have “tipped the scales” (also shown in the background) which impacted major industries. A downward trending arrow, commonly seen in a bear market, zigzags in front of a technical price chart used in the stock market. Other images, including a stack of bullion coins and bars of gold/silver, also appear in the background. Republique du Tchad’s Coat of Arms sits in an outline of a bear paw at the top of the coin between outlines of a bull and a bear. The inscriptions around the coin’s border include the country of issue, year, and face value.
