The Silver Morgan Dollar is among the most recognizable US Silver coins to date. Currently, Bullion Exchanges is pleased to provide a Morgan Dollar which has been graded MS 63 by NGC. This certified Silver Morgan contains 90% fine silver and weighs 0.7734 troy oz. Purchase one of these historic US Silver coins to diversify your precious metals portfolio!

US Mint Assistant Engraver George T. Morgan designed the now-iconic image of Lady Liberty that graces the coin. The coins were named the Morgan Dollar in his honor. Manufactured by the US Mint from 1878 until 1904, the Morgan Dollars’ production ceased due to the depletion of the US silver reserve. Several years later in 1918, the passage of the Pittman Act authorized the melting of millions of Silver Dollars. Following that historic act, the US Mint resumed the mintage of Silver Morgan Dollars in 1921. Later that year, the Morgan Dollar design was replaced by the Peace Dollar design, making 1921 the final year Morgan Dollars were minted.
