This year, The US Mint is offering the first-ever Burnished Palladium Eagle! The illustration found on the Palladium American Eagles is based on the beloved Mercury Dime. Lady Liberty on this coin wears a winged “Phrygian” cap, and is often confused with the Roman God Mercury because of it.
