Back in 2017, the world saw the first Palladium American Eagle coin, followed by the first Proof Palladium American Eagle coin in 2018. Just one year later, the first reverse proof edition debuted. The illustration found on the Palladium American Eagles is based on the beloved Mercury Dime. Lady Liberty on this coin wears a winged “Phrygian” carp to symbolize the “Liberty of Thought” ideal. Additionally, the new PCGS Shield Label arrives at no additional cost. This new PCGS label increases security as it has anti-counterfeiting technology implemented in it, and it has an inert substance in the casing itself to help indicate if the coin case, and by extension the coin, was tampered with. This substance will not harm the coin inside at all. This label can be authenticated with your phone through the PCGS Cert Verification app, available for free in your smartphone's app store. No purchase is necessary for the application and you do not need an account to authenticate your coin.

The obverse features a portrait of Liberty with a winged Phrygian cap, similar to the Roman God Mercury. Adapted from Adolph Weinman's classic design used on the Mercury dime in 1916. Inscriptions: "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "2019."

The reverse displays a powerful eagle sitting on a rock pulling a large laurel branch. This artwork was also created by Adolph Weinman. Inscriptions: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," along with the denomination, weight, and purity.
