Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, this coin contains 0.7734 troy oz of .900 fine silver and displays attractive luster and solid detail for the grade.

The 1878 7-Tailfeather Morgan dollar comes in two main varieties. The first has an eagle with a flat breast and a parallel top arrow feather, known as the Reverse of 1878. These early coins were produced in large quantities as the United States resumed large-scale silver dollar minting after the Bland-Allison Act of 1878, making them a foundational piece for many Morgan Dollar collections.
