Lunar Year Of The Ox

PERTH MINT SILVER LUNAR COIN SERIES

The Lunar Series is famous for its stunning designs for each of the 12 animals of the ancient Chinese Lunar Calendar. These coins have an international since production began in 1999. The Perth Mint’s Lunar I and II series intersected with the start of the new Chinese New Year cycle in 2008. This is because the Lunar I series did not begin with the Mouse/Rat, and the lunar cycle always resets with the Year of the Mouse/Rat. However, both the Lunar I and II collections are now complete. So, 2020 began the Perth Mint Lunar III collection. Now, for 2021, the newest release for the Lunar III Series is available: the Perth Mint 2021 Year of the Ox silver coins. These exceptional .9999 pure silver 2 troy ounces 2021 Year of the Ox coins feature two oxen: a parent and its calf. Most importantly, the new Lunar III Series’ box designs are all connected. When your collection is complete, you will have the entire picture story of the Chinese Myth surrounding the Chinese Zodiac Calendar.

ANCIENT CHINESE ZODIAC CALENDAR - THE OX

The Chinese zodiac calendar is arranged in an order of 12 years. A dozen animals that were selected for the zodiac are organized, according to Chinese mythology,  in this way because of a race to a party across a river. Technically, the ox came in second place after the mouse/rat. Although the Ox was the fastest, he allowed the mouse/rat to ride his back through the water. The cunning rat then leaped from his back to crossed the finish line first. The ox, however, was too dignified to make a fuss, so he accepted second place. The personality born under the ox is thought to be calm, conservative-leaning, determined, confident, tolerant, modest, and hard-working. The more recent birth years in this sign are 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, and 2021. Diversify your portfolio today with the 2021 Year of the Ox Silver Coin. Alternatively, these coins are excellent gifts for any zodiac aficionado or those with the ox in their birth charts!
