Below the pearl, is an engraving of the Chinese symbol for Dragon. The obverse side of the coin features the right-side profile portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It is a design by Ian Rank-Broadley. Both sides of the coin feature a honeycomb-like pattern that mimics the scales of a dragon. At the same time, a reverse-scalloped design encircles both sides.
