The American Silver Eagles were first minted in 1986 by the US Mint. The coins are minted till the present day and are minted at three main branches of the US Mint; Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver Mint.

The coin is backed by the US Government and is given a legal tender status. This is the only modern silver bullion coin to receive legal tender status. The coin is eligible for the precious metals Individual Retirement Account. The coin is made of .999 fine silver and comes in a standard 1 troy ounce size only.

The coins come in two versions; the bullion or brilliant uncirculated condition for the investors and the proof condition for collectors.

The coin features the iconic Walking Liberty on its obverse. The Walking Liberty designed by Adolph A. Weinman was originally used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar. The design was extremely popular then and continues to be til this day. The full length image of Lady Liberty walking towards a new dawn with her outstretched right arm while holding olive and oak branches in the left hand is a captivating sight. She is draped in the stars and stripes of the American Flag, which along with her gown is billowing gently in the wind. She is wearing a Phrygian cap on her head which symbolizes Liberty. The olive and oak branches in her hand symbolize peace and strength.

The reverse features a heraldic eagle behind the shield with 13 stars representing 13 original colonies of the United Nation which was designed by John Mercanti.

Bullion Exchanges offers FREE SHIPPING for domestic orders above $99! Orders are shipped using USPS, UPS, FedEx, or Armored Vehicle at our discretion. All orders that total $250 or more require Signature Confirmation upon delivery. Can I change my shipping address after I have placed an order?
We are unable to change any of the shipping details for credit/debit card orders. If payment is made by check or bank wire, we are able to change your address as long as the item has not yet been shipped.

All orders are fully insured by our insurance policy, however orders are only covered while in-transit. Coverage is terminated upon arrival of the package (marked as delivered or notice of signature from the carrier).
