On September 1st, 2016 - an excellent day for coin collectors worldwide. The U.S. Mint has announced the much-awaited designs for the 2017 America the Beautiful Silver Quarter series.
America the Beautiful Quarters Program
The US Mint presents a unique coins collection, commemorating the significant U.S. National Parks. Additionally, America the Beautiful collection is a road trip through America’s most beautiful sites. Each coin portrays a different landmark on the reverse. Hence, this provides an excellent collectible value. The obverse is familiar - the 1932 portrait of George Washington by John Flanagan. Furthermore, the restoration of the picture brings out subtle details and beauty of the original model. 2017 is the 8th year of releasing this popular series, presenting the following designs: Effigy Mounds National Monument (Iowa); Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (Washington, D.C.); Ozark National Scenic Riverways (Missouri); Ellis Island (Statue of Liberty National Monument) (New Jersey); George Rogers Clark National Historical Park(Indiana).

Designer Richard Master depicts a from-the-top view of mounds in the Marching Bear Group. Release date- February 6th, 2017.

He sits at a writing desk in his home in Washington D.C. Douglass was a renowned person of the 19th century. He went a long way from a poor bondman to U.S Marshal and U.S. Minister. He went about dedicating his entire life to fight for equal civil rights. Release date- April 3rd, 2017.
