Although this 2021 Silver Eagle coin does not carry a P-mintmark, NGC certified this as a Silver Eagle coin from the Philadelphia Mint. This US Mint coin contains 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver, and it is among the last editions to carry the original reverse design. Additionally, NGC graded this a near-perfect MS 69 with the Early Release designation. NGC has also provided a special "Liberty Bell" label for this holder. Complete your 2021 Silver Eagle coin collection by purchasing the 2021 (P) 1 oz Silver American Eagle NGC MS 69 ER (Liberty Bell) Emergency Issue from Bullion Exchanges!

The US Mint persevered through 2020 and 2021 while facing hardships regarding worker safety. It also struggled with maintaining its production schedule in 2021 due to the silver shortage. Because of limited resources at Mint facilities, many silver coins were delayed, including the 2021 Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars. Therefore, the Philadelphia branch stepped in to assist in Silver Eagles production. This resulted in the Silver Eagle "Emergency Issue” coin designation. Now officially part of US Mint history, these special 2021 Silver Eagle coins will make memorable pieces for your coin collection.

The obverse bears Adolph  A. Weinman’s “Walking Liberty” illustration, originally used for the American silver half dollars from the early 1900s. Lady Liberty walks towards the rising sun with her right arm outstretched. The American flag billows  behind her as she carries a bundle of olive and oak branches in her left arm.

The coin’s reverse displays John Mercanti’s reverse design for the final time. This image depicts a bald eagle with outstretched wings, carrying arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. Clutched in its beak is a banner that reads “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. Its chest bears a shield with the US flag, and 13 stars shine above the eagle’s head as a symbol of the original colonies.
