Beloved by fans of all ages, Winnie the Pooh first appeared in stories by author A.A. Milne in 1926, and illustrated by E.H. Shepard. The anthropomorphic teddy bear was named after the stuffed bear of Milne’s son. Additionally, Milne named Pooh’s friend Christopher Robin after his own son as well. Written as somewhat naive and slow-witted, Winnie the Pooh also exhibits positive traits such as friendliness, consideration, and steadfastness. Pooh has many adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with Christopher Robin, as well as his fellow animal friends Piglet the Pig, Tigger the Tiger, Eeyore the Donkey, and many others! Known for his love of honey, Pooh sports a large belly underneath his iconic red T-shirt. Missing out on this lovely Disney collectible will make you say “Oh Bother!” So be sure to purchase yours today!

The obverse of the coin shows the recognizable effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Inscriptions on the obverse include the Queen’s name, the country of issue, the denomination, and the year of mintage.

The reverse features a beautifully colorized scene of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin. Pooh is stuck in the entrance of his friend Rabbit’s underground home after eating too much honey, while Christopher Robin struggles to pull him out. A wooden sign displays “Rabbit’Ƨ House” above Pooh’s head. Inscriptions include weight, purity, and Disney copyright.
