The US Mint set out to create a new product to follow the highly successful 2019-W Lincoln Penny. The 2020-W Reverse Proof Jefferson Nickel is a new collectible addition to the US Mint’s annual 2020-S Proof Silver Set. For the first time ever the Jefferson Nickel was produced by the West Point Mint, bearing the “W” mintmark. The coin features an impressive reverse proof finish. PCGS graded this coin perfect  PF 70 with a First Strike designation. This coin is not sold separately and comes with the 2020-S US Mint Proof Silver Set. The 2020-W Reverse Proof Jefferson Nickel PCGS PF 70 FS (w/ 2020-S US Mint Proof Silver Set) is a perfect gift for any coin collector. 

The 2020 edition silver proof set, housed within two clear cases inside the artfully designed box. The first case has five coins from the America the Beautiful Quarters Program, while the second case holds the five common denomination coins. This set was minted at the San Francisco facility.

The sharp-relief 2020-W Jefferson Nickel has a reverse proof finish. The obverse of the Jefferson Nickel displays the portrait of Thomas Jefferson with inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST”, “Liberty”, “2020”, and the “W” mint mark from West Point.

The reverse of the nickel has the “Return to Monticello” design of Jefferson’s Monticello house. Inscriptions include “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, “MONTICELLO”, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, and the denomination.
