Futhermore, Burnished American Silver Eagles are only minted at the West Point facility for the U.S. Mint. The coin has a perfect grade of MS 70 by NGC. The obverse of the 1 oz Silver Eagles features the Walking Liberty, an iconic design that first appeared on Silver Half Dollars in 1916. The design was created by the renowned student of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Adolph A. Weinman. Weinman’s works were featured on the Walking Liberty Half Dollars. On these coins, Liberty walks forward with her right arm held out and branches in her left arm. The U.S. flag unfurls behind her with the sun rising in the background.

The reverse displays an updated version of the US Coat of Arms by John Mercanti. A bald eagle stretches its wings wide, and it grips a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. From its beak, a banner is unfurled and it reads “E PLURIBUS UNUM”. Its chest is decorated with a shield showing the US flag. 13 stars sit above the eagle’s head, representing the original 13 US colonies. The weight, purity, denomination, and country’s name are also inscribed around the rim.
