The NZ Mint's new Chibi Coin Collection debuted in 2020, and the next release is the formidable 2020 Silver Wonder Woman Chibi Coin, part of the DC Comics Chibi Coin Series. Wonder Woman, known as Diana Prince, is a superhero princess from the female-only island of Themyscira. Diana Prince has extensive military experience and occupied numerous jobs through her secret identity from museum curator to law enforcement. As a descendent of the Greek gods, Wonder Woman is equipped with superhuman abilities including super strength, near-invincibility, super speed, flight, healing powers, and partial-immortality. On top of her vast powers, she is trained in the highest forms as an athlete, acrobat, martial artist, and military/combat strategist.
The obverse of the Silver Wonder Woman Chibi Coin includes the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II wearing her royal diadem. Inscriptions include the Queen’s name, legal tender, country, year, face value, weight, purity, and copyright.
