First entering production in 2010, this program has since released 5 coins per year. At 45 coins released so far, the US Mint plans to issue all 56 unique silver quarter designs by 2021.  An educational series, these coins commemorate US National and Memorial Parks, other meaningful American locations, and significant events in US history. The River of No Return coin is the final release for 2019, with the previous four representing the states of Texas and Massachusetts, as well as the territories of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

At a weight of 5 ounces, the River of No Return coin is struck from .999 fine silver and honors Idaho's Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness state park. A silver quarter, it carries a face value of $0.25 and is legal tender in the US. It is eligible for precious metals IRAs and comes in a protective plastic flip.

The reverse of this coin features a stylized depiction of Idaho's Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness state perk. This gorgeous natural area is the largest single connected federally-managed wilderness area in the United States outside of Alaska. It is named after the Idaho Senator who led the charge in preserving this stunning landscape, Frank Church. Here, we see a man canoeing down the park's titular river. Inscriptions for the name of the park, the name of the state, the year of mintage, and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" surround the rim.

The obverse of the coin features the bust of President George Washington found on most American quarters, encircled by inscriptions for the country's name, the denomination, "LIBERTY", and "IN GOD WE TRUST".
