Being a well-known symbol in the South Korean history and culture, Chiwoo Cheonwang was the 14th leader of ancient Baedal, regarded as the God of War in the ancient Asian mythology. He is famous for wearing his intimidating devil-like mask, being pictured as casting magical spells which convey fear to enemies seeking war against the Korean Nation. The mask also served as the Red Devils’ mascot during the 2002 World Cup - the club of the passionate supporters of the national soccer team.

On its obverse is the powerful figure of the God of War, engraved in its full armor, with his shield and spear, and his mask donned on a fearsome horse.
