Although this coin is not a proof, NGC has labeled it PL (or Proof Like), which indicates a degree of reflectivity evident in the coin’s field.

Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. It protects an unparalleled landscape that provides important habitat for numerous rare and endangered species like the manatee, American crocodile and the elusive Florida panther.

An international treasure as well, it is designated as a world heritage site, international biosphere reserve and wetland of international importance. It was first established as a national site on May 30, 1934.

The reverse design, inspired by the bird population in the Everglades, features an anhinga with outstretched wings on a willow tree with a roseate spoonbill visible in the mid–ground. Both birds are found throughout the Everglades National Park. Inscriptions are “EVERGLADES, FLORIDA,” “2014” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

The obverse side of the coin features a side profile image of George Washington just as he appears on the U.S. Quarter. Our country’s name “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are inscribed above Washington with the face value of “QUARTER DOLLAR” inscribed below. To the left of him is the word “LIBERTY” and to his right, the phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” is inscribed.

As with all of our products, Bullion Exchanges guarantees this coin to be 100% authentic.
