The 2008-W 1 oz Burnished Silver American Eagle Rev of 2007 NGC MS 70 ER is an excellent silver product. This unique coin is graded by NGC as Mint State 70 (MS 70) and labeled as Early Releases (ER).
Between 2008 and 2007, the reverse design on Silver Eagles was slightly changed. This particular 2008-W Silver Eagle is one of 47,000 that was accidentally released with the reverse design of 2007. The most notable difference you will see is that this coin does NOT feature a tail on the letter “U” and the dash between the words “Silver” and “One” will be shaped like a tilde, which was part of the 2007 reverse font. This coin is a fantastic collector's item!
The obverse features Lady Liberty, enveloped in the American flag, striding forward towards the rising sun. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY”, “IN GOD WE TRUST”, and “2008”.
The reverse showcases the United States Coat of Arms, thirteen stars, all surrounded by the inscriptions.
