The $10 Gold Eagle Liberty Head was produced by the US Mint from 1838-1907. These fall in the list of Pre-1933 US Gold Coins. These coins were struck with .900 purity and their size and design might vary from one coin to the other. The coins from the year 1838 and early 1839 are noticeably different from the subsequent issues. These coins have the shoulder line of Liberty directed and placed between the twelfth and the thirteenth star. Gobrecht, the engraver who designed the Liberty design on the obverse of the Gold Eagles later on modified the bust and centered it over the date. This revamped design stayed same until the end of the Coronet series in 1907.

$10 Gold Eagle was the largest gold coin to be issued under the Mint Act of 1792. These coins are available in both graded and raw form with variable size, designs, and grade options.

Depending on the scarcity and the condition of these coins, they can fetch higher premiums over the spot price in comparison to a similar­sized gold bullion. The Gold Eagle has a face value of $10 which was almost in line with the coin’s intrinsic value when it was first minted, but now its intrinsic value is much higher than its face value. • Reverse: Features a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast and holding olive branches and arrows in its talons, design inspired from the Great Seal of United States. “IN GOD WE TRUST” banner above the eagle. Inscriptions – “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “TEN D.”
• Individual coins will be shipped in protective plastic flips. Multiples of 20 will be shipped in plastic tubes.
