This beautiful American Eagle series is one of the most collectible coins ever minted. 2017 celebrates the 31st anniversary of this stunning collection. First released by the United States mint in 1986, the Gold American Eagle is the first bullion coin to be authorized by the United States government for its weight, content, and purity. American Eagle gold coins are available in different sizes and denominations: 1/10 troy ounce, ¼ troy ounce, ½ troy ounce and 1 troy ounce and provide the great investment potential for different levels of precious metals investors. Designed by the famous sculptor Miley Busiek, the reverse features a majestic male bald eagle holding an olive branch with its wings spread wide descending towards its nest containing a female bald with its hatchlings.
