Perth Mint new coin releases will be available starting on September 6, 2016
Perth Mint plans to release several new coins from its most excellent series: the brand-new Silver Kangaroo Four-Coin Set; the Star Trek Silver Delta Shaped Coin; the Lunar Rooster Gold & Silver Proof Coins; and the White Lion Cub Silver Proof Coin.
** September will be a massive month with spectacular releases for the Perth Mint. The prestigious company plans to impress its collectors and numismatists with these fabulous coins:
The brand-new Silver Kangaroo 4 Silver Proof Coin set
The newest 2016 Australian Kangaroo Silver Proof Coin set will contain four coins. They are .9999 pure silver in proof quality.
It is the first set from Perth Mint that includes four different sizes. These sizes include 1/10 oz., ¼ oz., ½ oz. And a 1 oz. This set will have a mintage limit of 3,000 bundles. All four coins depict the latest 2016 Australian Kangaroo design on their reverse side.
This is the bounding kangaroo. Stylized sunlight rays surround it. You can also see the inscription “Australian Kangaroo,” the ‘P’ mintmark, “2016” and the weight and purity of the coin. 
The Perth Mint offers this gorgeous set in a classic presentation case. Additionally, it comes with a customized shipper and a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. The 4-coin set is simultaneously releasing with the ¼ oz. Silver Kangaroo Proof coin. This comes in individual packaging with a mintage limit of 10,000 coins.
Star Trek Delta-shaped silver coin – celebrating 50 years of Star Trek
This one-of-a-kind release from Perth Mint is an exceptional gift option for Star Trek fans. This coin is 1 oz. .999 pure silver. It will feature the shape of the Delta Shield from the famous Star Trek science fiction series. It was in production by Gene Roddenberry from 1966 and until 1969. 
The Delta Shield-shaped coin will feature the 50th Anniversary Delta Shield logo on its reverse side. The coin will be a Tuvalu legal tender coin. It comes in a contemporary acrylic display case and with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The Perth Mint will produce no more than 5,000 of these outstanding coins which celebrate the Star Trek 50th anniversary. This is a real must-have for any Star Trek fan or collector!
The 2017 Lunar Rooster Gold & Silver Proof & Bullion coins
The internationally renowned Australian Gold and Silver Lunar Series II will complete with the Year of the Rooster. They will come in proof and bullion versions.
The Rooster is the 10th animal in the Chinese Zodiac Calendar. The birth dates for the ‘Year of the Rooster’ are 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, and 2017. The people born under this sign are hardworking, honest, loyal, and friendly.
These popular Lunar Series coins will be .9999 pure gold and .9999 pure silver; in proof and bullion quality.
The Lunar Rooster Proof Gold Coins will be available in three sizes.
They are 1 oz., ¼ oz. And 1/10 oz., as well as in a three-coin set. These remarkable coins will have a mintage limit of 3,000 1oz. coins; 5,000 ¼ coins; 4,000 1/10 oz. Coins; and 1,500 three-coin sets.
The bullion edition will have an unlimited issue of 1/20 oz.; 1/10 oz.; ¼ oz.; ½ oz., two oz.; 10 oz.; and 1 kg gold coins. There is a maximum of 30,000 1 oz. coins. These expect to be highly collectible.
Both proof and bullion coins will depict on their reverse side the new ‘Year of the Rooster’ design: a rooster standing in front of a stylized Chinese scene with bamboo and leaves. It will also showcase ‘Year of the Rooster’, the Chinese character for ‘rooster’ and the ‘P’ mintmark.
The Lunar Rooster Proof Silver Coins are also available in three sizes. These are 1 kilo, 1 oz. and ½ oz., and the three-coin set. These fantastic coins will have a mintage limit of 500 1 kilo coins; 5,000 1 oz. coins; 8,000 ½ oz. coins; and 1,000 three-coin sets.
The bullion versions will have an unlimited issue of 1 kg; 10 oz.; 5 oz.; 2 oz.; and ½ oz. coins. There will be a maximum of 100 10 kg. and 300,000 1 oz. silver coins. Just like the gold edition, the 1 oz. silver bullion “The Year of Rooster” coin should sell out quickly.
Both proof and bullion silver coins feature on their reverse side the new ‘Year of the Rooster’ design. This is the rooster, hen, and the three chicks standing amongst flowers and bamboo. There is the ‘P’ mintmark, the engraving ‘Year of the Rooster’, and the Chinese character for ‘rooster.’
4th issue in the adorable Cubs series –
This year’s latest Perth Mint release - the Cub series - will be complete with the fourth coin.
This is the September Cubs. It features the playful white lion cubs from South Africa, the Timbavati region. This impressive coin will be Tuvalu legal tender. It comes in ½ oz. of .999 fine silver. There will be a mintage limit of 5,000 coins.
It depicts the cute white lion design.
The white lion’s color of the coat is white-- almost blonde color. This is much lighter than the usual tawny African lion. These lion species are the same, but their white coat is the result of a recessive gene.
To have this gene, both parents must have it. They can give birth to both tawny and white cubs. The previous coins showcased the tiger, jaguar, and snow leopard cubs. The lynx cub is on the last-- fifth coin in the series.
On the reverse side of this fantastic coin are two colored white lion cubs that are playing in the savannah’s grass. You can also see the word “CUBS” and the ‘P’ mintmark. Besides the classic Perth Mint presentation case, the mint also provides a special display box. This box can hold all five coins. This box additionally will protect and superbly present them. **
Obverse
On the obverse side of each of these coins is the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It is a design by Ian Rank-Broadley. It also features the coin’s face value, weight and purity marks.
The Star Trek Delta Shaped Silver coin and 2016 White Lion Cubs ½ Silver Proof Coin also contain the “Tuvalu” inscription. The obverse side of the other coins contains the “Australia” engraving.
