These statues watched over Her Majesty The Queen as she swore her oath are a symbol of her great heritage. The twelve beasts tie into her ancestry. Kings and queens wear these badges to this day. These beasts precede her. This great coin series celebrates that. Today’s emblem appears on the national flag of Wales. The Red Dragon is a symbol throughout the history of the United Kingdom. It is a sign of Welsh descent and Tudor's support. It also signifies the carrier as being fierce, wise, and witty.

The Red Dragon design reflects his amazing talents. The Red Dragon is a fierce dragon at full length on this coin. Its forked tongue sticks out, and tail whips around the shield held in his grip. The image is a remarkably updated classic image. The edges show the inscriptions “RED DRAGON OF WALES” along with the size and purity of the coin. The obverse holds the calling card image of coins out of the Royal Mint. The fifth and most recent portrait of Elizabeth II with inscriptions of the face value. Additionally, you can read “ELIZABETH II D.G. REG F.D.” This is Latin for “By the Grace of God, Queen.”
