American Eagle One Ounce Palladium Proof Coins are special collector versions of the official US Mint palladium bullion coins. The palladium coin will continue to be released each year, but the finishes will likely keep alternating as they have done for the past few years: 

• 2018: proof finish
• 2019: reverse proof finish
• 2020: uncirculated finish
• 2021: proof finish

The obverse of the coin features a high-relief likeness of “Winged Liberty” designed by world-renowned designer Adolph A. Weinman. This same image was used on the obverse for the Mercury Dime, struck by the United States Mint from late 1916 to 1945. Because this is a proof coin, the West Point “W” mintmark is also shown on the obverse.

The reverse showcases a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse, which was also designed by the talented Weinman. In this image, a bald eagle stands on a rocky surface while grasping a branch in its beak.
