PCGS graded this Type 2 Silver Eagle a near-perfect Proof 69 First Strike, greatly enhancing its collector appeal. The obverse silver eagle depicts Adolph A. Weinman's historic “Walking Liberty” design. Lady Liberty walks towards the setting sun with oak and laurel branches in her left arm, reaching her right arm to the horizon. The American flag is draped over her shoulders, billowing in the gentle breeze.

The new reverse design by Emily Damstra depicts a realistic rendering of a majestic bald eagle in mid-flight. Its wings are open wide to prepare for a landing as it grasps an oak branch in its talons.
