Batman is one of the most iconic characters from DC Comics ever. His vehicle, the Batmobile, is among the most popular gadgets in Batman's arsenal. His car has routinely been redesigned by different directors. This 1997 iteration was for the Batman & Robin film, directed by Joel Schumacher, starring George Clooney as Batman and Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. Barbara Ling was in charge of production design, and her inspiration for this automobile came from older racing roadsters such as the Jaguar D Type and Delahaye 165. This is an open-air car, which appeared in the comic books from years before the film. This Batmobile was about 30 feet long, one of the longest in the history of Batmobiles, and it could reach a speed of 140MPH. This creation was the official live-action car until it was replaced by the one in Batman Begins released in 2005, starring Christian Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
