2020-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle NGC PF 69 UCAM Early Releases (SF Label)

Newly available from Bullion Exchanges, this 2020-S 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle will display the original reverse from the San Francisco Mint for one final issue before the design update in 2021. This NGC-certified 2020-S Proof Silver Eagle weighs 1 troy ounce and contains .999 fine silver. Collectors will appreciate this coin, as it comes graded a near-perfect Proof 69 UCAM! This Silver Eagle also received an Early Releases designation, meaning this Silver Eagle was issued within the first 30 days of the coin’s official release. Only 200,000 (maximum) of the 2020-S Silver Eagle Proof Coin will be minted, adding to the coin’s collector appeal. Adding to its desirability, this particular Proof Silver Eagle arrives in a special NGC holder with a San Francisco label, putting its historical significance on full display. Don’t allow this rare opportunity to pass you by- purchase the last San Francisco Silver Eagle with the inaugural reverse design today!

This year the US Mint celebrates the 35th anniversary of the very first Silver American Eagle release in 1986. Specifically, the Silver Eagle was originally produced at the San Francisco branch of the United States Mint. Now, the John Mercanti Reverse Design makes its final debut in 2020 at that very same mint, as the 2021-S Silver Eagle will feature a completely new design on the popular American coin. In addition, the Gold American Eagle will show off a new design as well after August 2021, initiating a new era for American coin production.

The obverse design, which will remain unchanged for future issues, displays Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty. Lady Liberty walks towards the sun while cradling branches of laurel and oak in her left arm. The words “Liberty” and “In God We Trust” are etched around the rim, along with the year of mintage on the bottom.

The reverse design, designed by John Mercanti in 1986 for the very first silver eagle, features a heraldic Eagle bearing a shield below thirteen stars, which represent the original 13 colonies.
