A regal bust of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt in 2003, appears on the coin's obverse. Here, The Queen faces towards the right, adorned with elegant earrings and a stunning necklace. A dynamic background of sharp radial lines spreads out from the center of the coin. Inscriptions for the Queen's name, the denomination, and the year of mintage appear around the rim.
The coin's reverse displays the famous Maple Leaf design created by engraver Walter Ott. Like the obverse, it also features a background of radial lines. The country, purity, and weight are inscribed around the rim.
