2019-W 1 oz Burnished Silver American Eagle NGC MS 69 Early Releases

Silver American Eagles are the official investment-grade bullion coins of the United States. These coins are produced by the U.S. Mint and are backed by the government of the United States. They are globally renowned for their silver content, weight, and purity along with the iconic and timeless design. Silver Eagles were first minted in 1986 after the approval of the Liberty Coin Act on July 9, 1985. The coin is a legal tender issue of the United States government. Burnished American Silver Eagles are only minted at the West Point branch of the US Mint. The burnished silver coin means that it has a matte finish as a result of blanks being polished before being struck. The coin has a nearly perfect grade of MS 69 by NGC. The "Early Releases" designation means that this was one of the few coins that were released within the first 30 days of the coin's issue from the U.S. Mint.

The obverse of the coin features the Walking Liberty which is an iconic design that first appeared on the Silver Half Dollars released in 1916. The design was created by the renowned student of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, Adolph A. Weinman. Weinman’s works were featured on the Walking Liberty Half Dollars. The artistic appeal of the design is exceptional. The reverse features the Heraldic eagle symbolizing strength and endurance designed by the American engraver John Mercanti.
