2018-W 1 oz Proof Palladium American Eagle NGC PF 69 ER Mint Error

Please note the obverse has been struck through.

Following the release of the 2017 1 oz Palladium American Eagle, the US Mint now releases the first proof version of this coin in 2018.

This 2018 Palladium American Eagle is fully backed by the U.S. government and recognized around the world for its palladium purity, visual appeal, and its American symbolism. Proof Palladium Eagle coins are collector versions of the U.S. Mint's beloved Palladium Eagle bullion coins and have limited mintages, adding even more value to their collectibility.

This coin is graded by NGC with a grade of PF 69 - which certifies it as near perfect. The Early Releases designation guarantees NGC has graded it within the first 30 days of issue.

The obverse features a portrait of Liberty with a winged Phrygian cap, similar to the Roman God Mercury. Adapted from Adolph Weinman's classic design used on the Mercury dime in 1916. Inscriptions: “Liberty”, “In God We Trust”, “2018”. The reverse displays a powerful eagle perched on a rock pulling a large laurel branch. Adolph Weinman is the designer of the reverse of this Palladium American Eagle. Inscriptions: “United States of America”, “$25”, “1 oz”, “.9995 Fine”, “E Pluribus Unum”.
