The ATB program will release 56 coins in total, authorized by America’s Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008. Each year, the U.S. Mint issues five coins featuring famous U.S. National Parks, Forests, and Historical Monuments that represent the grandeur that America has to offer. The sites featured on these coins are released in the order they were first established as a national park or heritage site.
