This highly exceptional 2017 W 1 oz $100 American Liberty High Relief Proof Gold Coin NGC PF 70 Early Releases (225th Ann. Label). US Mint celebrates its 225th Anniversary in April 2017.

This $100 American Liberty High Relief coin is struck in .9999 fine 24-karat gold at the West Point Mint in New York. This coin has been manufactured in high relief with a proof finish. This amazing 1 troy ounce gold coin is accompanied by its US Mint black wood presentation case and the 225th Anniversary booklet with Certificate of Authenticity.

The coin obverse depicts a left profile of Lady Liberty as an African-American woman wearing a crown of stars in treasure to the bronze Statue of Freedom topping the arcade of U.S. Capitol. The design completed with the inscriptions: “LIBERTY”, “1792”, “2017” and “IN GOD WE TRUST”. Created by Mint Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) designer - Justin Kunz and sculpted by Mint Engraver - Phebe Hemphill.

The coin's reverse features a bold and powerful eagle in flight, included inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, “1OZ .9999 FINE GOLD” and “100 DOLLARS”. Created by AIP designer - Chris Costello and sculpted by US Mint Engraver - Michael Gaudioso.

This coin was sent for grading  to the NGC within the first 30 days after official release. The coin was certified as a Proof Coin 70.
