The reverse displays a powerful eagle sitting on a rock pulling a large laurel branch. This artwork was also created by Adolph Weinman. Inscriptions: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," along with the denomination, weight, and purity.
