2016 1 oz Silver American Eagle $1 Coin PCGS MS 69 OGH First Strike - 30th Anniversary
History:
2016 marks the 30th anniversary of American Eagle Silver coin which was first released in 1986 by the US Mint. American Eagles are the only bullion silver coins to be congressionally authorized. This coin is very popular for its breath taking image of a very feminine Walking Liberty, a design by the famous sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. This design originally featured in 1916 on the nation’s first circulating half dollar coin. This is the only bullion silver coin to be guaranteed by the US Mint for its weight, content, and purity and has a face value of $1. Silver American Eagles are minted in two versions; the bullion version and the proof version. Bullion is mainly for investors and proof version is preferred by the collectors. Proof version requires a specialized minting process which is different than the bullion version.
