The obverse features the Olympic Cauldron with a runner holding the flaming torch. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the year of mintage.

The reverse displays the Atlanta Games logo with a flame above and encircled by a laurel wreath. Inscribed are the mint mark and denomination.
