1978 Israel Tree of Life 1000 Lirot Gold Coin NGC PF 66 Ultra Cameo
This coin commemorates the 30th Anniversary of the Israeli Declaration of Independence that was proclaimed on May 14th 1948, in which honors the restoration of the land. The obverse of the gold coin depicts an olive tree with the Hebrew inscription "Thirty Years to Israel". The reverse has "Israel" in Arabic, Hebrew and English. Below has the State emblem as well as the denomination (1000 Lirot), date (1978), mint mark (N-mem) and "5738" written in Hebrew. These proof coins are struck on specially selected and polished planchets and are struck using polished dies. The coins illustrate a mirror-like surface in the fields and a frosted appearance on the raised points of the coin. A small Hebrew 'mem' mintmark is struck on the "Restoration" coin between the dates.
