Louis XVIII was King of France from 1815-1824. Prior to his rule, Louis spent twenty-three years in exile and attained the throne after his brother, King Louis XVI was executed and his son died in prison.

The obverse portrays Louis XVIII during his reign as an emperor with the inscriptions "LOUIS XVIII" and "ROI DE FRANCE" meaning "King of France." The reverse portrays the denomination (20 Francs) within a wreath with the date below (Random).
