1933 D Oregon Trail Half Dollar 90% Silver Commem NGC MS 65

This 1933 D Oregon Trail Half Dollar 90% Silver Commem NGC MS 65 will make an excellent addition to any precious metals collection. The coin is made from 0.900 silver with a weight of 0.3617 troy oz.

The obverse, designed by Laura Gardin Fraser, features an oxen-drawn covered wagon, traveling west towards the sunset. Although the US Mint officially designated this as the obverse of the coin, it should be noted that the designers of this coin and many collectors consider this side to be the reverse.

The other side of the coin, considered to be the reverse by the US Mint, was designed by James Earle Fraser. It displays a Native American Male in full headdress, holding a longbow in his right hand with his left arm outstretched. A map of the United States with the Oregon Trail marked appears in the background.
