These beautiful commemorative coins are a superb way to build your silver collection and investment portfolio. Many of these commemorative coins are scarce and hold great historical significance. Each has its own unique story and silver value. 

$5 FACE VALUE 90% SILVER ROOSEVELT DIMES (50-COIN ROLE)

These familiar looking dimes were in honor of the great 32nd president of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt. They went into production from 1946-1964. Roosevelt started a dime collection program to try to find a cure for Polio disease, called the National Foundation for infant paralysis. 

 SILVER MORGAN DOLLAR

This historical coin comes at a fantastic price point. The beautiful and famous design is from Anna Willess Williams, who became famous for her creation. The obverse features Lady Liberty—her hair flowing freely and wearing a diadem. You'll also find the wording "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "LIBERTY" on the crown with the year of mint. 

WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR 

This NGC certified coin features Lady Liberty with the sun rising on her back. She is holding olive and laurel branches. On the reverse is the mighty American Eagle ready to fly, it's massive wings open as it is prepared to fly off the cliff. 

$10 FACE VALUE STANDING LIBERTY QUARTERS (40-COIN ROLL)

These silver quarters are of exceptional design—some say the most beautiful of all quarters. On the obverse, Liberty holds a shield defending America, yet with an olive branch in hand symbolizing peace. Her bare breast is on the quarter before 1917. However, many objected to the nudity and the design was therefore changed after. On the reverse is a bald eagle in flight with 13 stars.

$10 FRANKLIN HALF DOLLARS (20-COIN ROLL)

This silver half dollar is in honor of Benjamin Franklin, the founding father. The obverse showcases a portrait of Franklin. Also, you'll find the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST" with the year of mint. The reverse features the famous cracked liberty bell with a bald eagle to its side.

RHODE ISLAND HALF DOLLAR

This NGC certified coin is a celebration of the 300th anniversary of Providence, Rhode Island. It features Roger Williams arriving on shore with a bible in hand, greeted by a Native American. The other side features the state seal—with anchor and the word "HOPE."

LEXINGTON HALF DOLLAR

This coveted silver piece celebrates the Sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) of the battle of Lexington-Concord. It's a rare find with excellent silver purity and a limited mint of only 162,000. The obverse features "The Minuteman" who was a member of the militia during the American Revolutionary war. The reverse features the historical and famous old Belfry in Lexington. The Belfry was the site of the historic victory for Americans. This is a great silver coin for any lover of history.

TEXAS INDEPENDENCE CENTENNIAL HALF DOLLAR COMMEMORATIVE COIN

Texans are known for their state pride. This coin celebrates Texas gaining its independence. Collectors consider these coins some of the most beautiful and intricate of early commemorative coins. It was a design by Texas sculptor Pompeo Coppini. The obverse displays an eagle clasping an oak branch with a massive star shining in the background. The reverse features a kneeled winged victory—one hand holding a laurel and the other hand holding a representation of the Alamo. Additionally on this side, you'll find beloved heroes Sam Houston and Stephen Austin.

1946 IOWA CENTENNIAL HALF DOLLAR

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Iowa's statehood with this beautiful half dollar silver coin. It features the Old Stone Capital on the obverse and an eagle from the Iowa state seal on the reverse. And, the mighty eagle clutches a ribbon in its beak. The ribbon says, "Our Liberties Our Rights We Prize and Will Maintain." 

MERCURY DIMES

Mercury dimes are also referred to as "Winged Liberty Head dimes" because the young Liberty looks much like the Roman God Mercury. These are trendy pieces from 1916-1945. The obverse showcases the young Lady Liberty in a winged cap called a Phrygian. The reverse features an olive branch and bound bundle of wood (fasces). The wood bundle also includes an ax with a blade.

1897-S BARBER QUARTER

This beautiful silver quarter is an incredibly scarce coin and is a design by Charles E. Barber. The S represents which mint it came from—San Francisco Mint. It was used in circulation for a short time and is now a favorite among collectors. On the obverse, you'll find the beloved Lady Liberty wearing what's called a Pileus (crown from an olive branch) and a headband with the wording "Liberty." Additionally on this side is the inscriptions "In God We Trust," 13 stars, and the date of mint. On the reverse is the majestic Eagle, a design based from the great seal. In its beak holds a scroll reading "E Pluribus Unum." Its mighty claws hold 13 arrows and an olive branch.

1936 LONG ISLAND TERCENTENARY HALF DOLLAR

The year these were released, this silver half dollar saw the highest distribution of commemorative coins that year. Furthermore, this silver piece celebrates the 300th anniversary of settling Long Island. On the obverse, you'll find the faces of an Algonquin Native American as well as a dutch settler. The two heads overlap to symbolize the peaceful settlement of the island and a balance of harmony between the two men. The reverse showcases an image of a Dutch sail-boat.

1938 NEW ROCHELLE CENTENNIAL HALF DOLLAR

This beautiful silver half dollar commemorates the 250th anniversary of New Rochelle, a wealthy suburb of New York City. About 25,000 coins went to mint, and this coin was a design by Gertrude K. Lathrop. The obverse features John Pell, the owner of the land that was sold to the settlers. One of the payments was a calf—which you'll also find on this side of the coin. John leads the calf in a walk. On the reverse is an element of New Rochelle's coat of arms, a Fleur de Lis.

1928 HAWAII HALF DOLLAR

This scarce and beautiful silver half dollar celebrates the 150th anniversary of Captain James Cook discovering Hawaii on a voyage through the pacific islands. The obverse features the Captain with the inscriptions "CAPT. JAMES COOK DISCOVERER OF HAWAII" along with his compass. The reverse features a warrior chief, native to the island, extending his hand to Cook in welcome. A coconut tree on this side shows romance. 

1893 ISABELLA QUARTER DOLLAR

The Isabella quarter dollar is a unique coin as it's the second commemorative coin the U.S. produced. Its creation came from the insistence of Mrs. Potter Palmer for the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. Palmer was a prominent member of the Chicago social scene. The obverse features Christopher Columbus and the reverse showcases Santa Maria.
