The obverse features the iconic Winged Victory "The Angel of Independence" design with the denomination, weight, and year of mintage.
The reverse shows Mexico's national Coat of Arms featuring a golden eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak. Inscribed above is the words "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS."
