1915 S $2.5 Panama Pacific NGC UNC Details
This 1915 S $2.5 Panama Pacific NGC UNC Details offers a rare coin from the US Mint and a great investment in precious metals. The coin honors the opening of the Panama Canal and the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and World's Fair that takes place in San Francisco.
The obverse features Columbia, the goddess-like personification of the US and Liberty itself, holding a caduceus and riding the mythical hippocampus through the water. Encircling the rim are the inscriptions "PANAMA-PACIFIC EXPOSITION," "S," for the San Francisco Mint and the year of mintage.
The reverse depicts an eagle atop a column with the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the denomination.
