1904 $20 Gold Liberty Head Double Eagle Coin NGC MS 62 Mint Error (Obverse Lamination)

This beautifully designed 1904 $20 Gold Liberty Head Double Eagle Coin is made from .900 fine gold with a weight of 0.9675 troy oz. The coin comes graded by NGC as Mint State 62, an excellent condition.
The obverse, inspired by the Roman sculpture "Crouching Venus", depicts Lady Liberty facing left and wearing a pearl-studded diadem with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it. Inscribed are 13 stars that represent the 13 original colonies along with the year of mintage.
The reverse depicts the Seal of the United States with a heraldic eagle bearing a shield and holding a banner in its beak; the denomination inscribed below.
