Please note that the design of each coin may vary or be the same depending on our current inventory.
Modern Commemorative Coin Program first started with the issuing of the gold coin to celebrate the 250th birth anniversary of George Washington in 1982. Since then almost each year US Mint releases $5 and $10 commemorative coins to honor famous events, places, institutions, and people of America. Each year the design on both sides is different from the previous one. The program is authorized by the US Government and these American Gold coins are legal tenders that are not minted for general circulation. The coins have limited mintage and are available only for a certain amount of time. The aesthetic and investment appeal, and the limited mintage, makes it extremely popular among collectors and investors alike.
