The 2024 American Eagle is part of the United States Mint's official bullion coin program and is highly anticipated by collectors. The reverse design of the Silver Eagle series, first introduced in 1986, was created by John Mercanti until 2020. During that year, to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the American Gold and Silver Eagles, the US Mint produced a new reverse design. This coin showcases the updated design, featuring two iconic American symbols, the bald eagle and the Statue of Liberty.

The obverse depicts Lady Liberty marching forward to the setting sun with oak and laurel branches in her left arm. She reaches out her right arm towards the horizon with the American flag over her shoulders.

The reverse, designed by Emily Damstra and sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, depicts a bald eagle swooping down for a landing while holding an oak branch in its talons.
