The obverse shows Adolph A. Weinman’s historic “Walking Liberty” design. Lady Liberty marches towards the sunset with oak and laurel branches cradled in her left arm while extending her right arm to the horizon. The American flag is draped over her shoulders. 

The reverse presents the design by AIP member Emily Damstra, brought to life by sculptor Michael Gaudioso. A majestic bald eagle prepares to land, its wings open wide to slow its movement. The eagle carries an oak branch in its talons.
