The obverse features Lady Liberty striding towards a rising sun, enveloped by the American flag, as designed by Adolph A. Weinman. One arm is outstretched, and the other carries laurel and oak branches. Thanks to the aforementioned advanced technology, the US Mint was able to include a more historically accurate depiction of Weinman’s design, including his artist mark. 

The reverse displays the Type 2 Eagle design by Emily Damstra. It shows an American Bald Eagle mid-flight while holding a branch securely in its talons.
