Father Frost, is a beloved character in Slavic culture. However, there are many names and variations of his character across the Slavic regions. Father Frost is generally depicted with a long white beard, dressed in a heel-length red or blue fur coat, and a semi-round fur hat.

The obverse of this coin displays the recognizable portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian-Rank Broadley. The Queen faces to the right and wears her royal crown.

The reverse of this coin features a spectacular colorized scene of a smiling Father Frost accompanied by his young deer friend and a friendly owl in the wintery woods.
