In 1986, the US Mint first released the incredible Gold and Silver American Eagles. Since then, it continues to release the American Eagle coins every year. These 2021 Proof Silver Eagles were struck with a special Proof finish, and are graded DCAM (Deep Cameo). This indicates that these coins have an extremely pronounced shine as compared to other proof Silver Eagles.

The obverse of this 2021 Proof Silver Eagle maintains its coveted design by Adolph A. Weinman. This side shows Lady Liberty walking forward with a purposeful stride towards the beautiful rising sun. Large branches are cradled in her left arm, while her right arm is outstretched in front of her. A large US Flag around her shoulders blows in the gentle breeze behind Lady Liberty as she walks.

The reverse displays John Mercanti’s version of the US National Coat of Arms. In this illustration, the heraldic bald eagle spreads its wings. Clutched In its talons are a bundle of arrows and an olive branch to symbolize “peace through strength.” The eagle also carries a banner from its beak that reads “E PLURIBUS UNUM”, and its chest is covered by a shield with the US flag. 13 stars shine above the eagle’s head, representing the original colonies. The weight, purity, denomination, and country’s name are inscribed around the rim.
