The obverse of the Peace silver dollar coin depicts the Lady Liberty design by de Francisci. Liberty looks to the left of the coin while wearing a tiara, symbolic of the sun’s rays. Her hair is in a loose bun secured at the back of her head. 

The reverse of the silver dollar coin spotlights de Francisci’s bald eagle design. The eagle stands on a rocky peak with an olive branch in its talons. It watches the sunrise- a beacon for a new era of peace.
