Join the festivities with your order of this 2021-P Morgan Silver Dollar Centennial Coin 1921 100th Anniversary!

Of all the pre-1965 silver coins, the Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars are some of the most collected US silver coins of all time. The Morgan Silver Dollars have an interesting production history from 1878 to 1904, and then once more in 1921. Struck originally from silver procured from the Comstock Lode, the Morgan Silver Dollars were a major part of the war effort. They supported Great Britain’s economy during WWI thanks to the Pittman Act. Approximately half of the entire mintage of the Morgan Silver Dollars was lost because this act authorized the melting of the Morgan Silver Dollars so Great Britain could buy the silver for $1 per troy oz. However, another stipulation of the act said that after the war, the lost silver dollars needed to be replaced. Therefore, the Peace Silver Dollars replaced the Morgan Silver Dollars at the end of 1921. However, the Peace dollars were delayed due to a design error that was fixed by December 1921. This 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar commemorates the transition from the Morgan Silver Dollar to the Peace Silver Dollar.

The obverse and reverse of the 2021 Morgan Silver Dollars will continue to have the same original design.
